Racers and fans! If you like watching old school racing on TV you're going to love Saturday afternoon at Drag Wars.

Everyone will have the chance to qualify for one of the multiple groups of 16 during Saturday's Time Trials. These groups are chosen not by the fastest ET, but by the closest ET's, with prizes for each group but there's a catch. We will only be racing to the 1/8 mile. This will insure some awesome and fun heads up racing action. There is no extra charge to participate and is optional to racers that are picked.

So all you grassroots racers, this is your chance to win some Great Prizes and keep old school racing alive in 2009!

Format: Much like the TV Show, Win - back to the line! If you lose, you're going home.

Tree will be used for staging only. All other lights will be disabled.

Race Staff will be positioned at the finish line outside of the barriers in both lanes. Both will have flags that harkened back to the glory days of the sport to signal the winner of each pass. Imagine an abandoned airstrip with killer rides and you get the picture!

All vehicles will get a minimum of two qualifying passes (3 if time allows) on Saturday morning. That will determine your ET and MPH. Please listen to all announcements very closely.

A jump or jumping of the Flag Drop defined:

If you move before the flag is dropped, you go home. This will be determined by the fans at the starting line, but if you have video proof that the fans are wrong, we'll gladly take a look at it. WARNING: present the video quickly... we will not slow down the competition.

Protesting: Ok, but remember the electronics are always on - we know what you are doing.

Racers must have all the proper safety equipment including apparel. Remember safety first!

Most Important: Come to the track with a great attitude, and be ready to have FUN!!!
